CRA Members & Phillips 66 employees volunteer at Garfield Elementary
- Volunteers help teach a child to read by providing one on one interaction with the child, both reading to and listening to the child read from selected reading materials.
- Volunteers work with kindergarten students to improve their reading skills.
Be a Book Buddy
Book Buddy Program is a new reading program that moves reading assistance outside of the kindergarten P.I.E. program aiding any student, at any grade level attending Garfield that needs reading assistance. Teachers identify students by need and Buddies are assigned based on that need.
Informational meeting: September 14th at 9AM in the Garfield School Library.
